New Year, New Beginning

A new Year, a new beginning and the first of my new projects.

The 365 project is something that i went on about a little while back and today it begins.

My intention - to shoot and post one image every day for a year, the subjects will be wide and varied enabling me to have fun with it too.

I will post occasional shots on this blog, but after chatting with some friends (thanks Adam) I decided to keep it slightly seperate and popped it on my new 365 project blog here - http://ifotouscotland365.blogspot.com which will end up with all of the posts along with any other important information about it.

3-6-5 Life in 2009

The last few years have taught me many things, I have learned a lot from the model work I've done, which I thouroghly enjoyed, and the sports and music stuff I used to do.

Having started college in September I have been diversifying the work I do to get away from my comfort zone and produce work that is different and encapsulating. I have loved my college course and in fact I'm currently considering a possible 2 more years at college with my current plan being to do a HND then a PDA (advanced diploma).

My plans after that...well who knows... I'm not against the possibility of some Lecturing in the future although I would love to do some corporate type work, I like the idea of shooting environmental portraiture as well but who knows.

I have however taken the decision that doing model work is fine and dandy but it's getting me nowhere so other than the occasional group shoot, some work if I'm being paid lots of money or favours for some close friends I will no longer be shooting any model work.

My intention in the future is concentrate on some environmental portraiture, do some sports stuff again and maybe even some bands, and events work.

To that end over 2009 I will be doing a 365 project, that is I intend to shoot, and post here, at least one image every day of 2009, this may be a pic of the kids, of the wife, of the dog, of friends, of trees, of whatever but I will by 31st December 2009 have 365 posts on this.

I hope you enjoy any work I post and as always look forward to your comments.

A freshen Up

After taking some advice from friends, family and people i respect I've created a website specifically for my Fashion work.

I've also went for the logo to the side of this post.

Model Portfolios

The following Model portfolio package is available for those wishing to try their hand at some modelling portraits, those wishing to have some images for a modelling portfolio or anyone looking to change or update their portfolio.

£150 - A shoot with a Hair and Make-up Artist where a suitable location will be found and a range of images will be taken as headshots, 3/4 length and full length images. You can have as many changes of outfit as you like and changes of Hair and make-up within reason. All images will be placed on a DVD and I will fully edit a maximum of 5 images per look for you plus 5 prints at a size of your choice up to 12"x8".

Please note that a shoot without a Hair and Make-up artist is available and costs £100, please be aware though that you will get better images with the full package and if you do not take the Hair and Make-up artist you will need to do it yourself or find someone to do it for you.

Projects for 2008 / 2009

2008, and probably into 2009, will be a fun time as I will be undertaking at least a couple of different projects during that time.

Project 1 is "Macro Make-up" where i will be working with Siananigans to do some very interesting macro shots with make-up so look out for some close up lips and eyes coming soon.

Project 2 is "A fashionable Dram" where i will be taking a look at Scotland's national drink in a new fashionable sense. Part of it will be the use of stunning models in whisky related locations so look out for that also.

Others will be added as soon as they are planned and commenced.

A Different Christmas Present!

Looking for a "different" Christmas Present for your partner? Why not give them a photographic print of You, that's a little different.

By the magic of photography and the clever use of camera angles we can produce some lovely shots which are faux-nude, like the picture of Fiona which is next to this post.

By wearing a strapless bikini, or trunks for the guys, and taking the photograph from a low angle and with strategic positioning of hands, feet and legs it gives a lovely image which could be given as a gift to a partner.

For the lowly price of £30 we can visit you at your home, set up take the images for around 30 minutes to an hour. We will then supply you via email with a selection of the images from the day for you to choose from, we will then arrange for a 12"x8" print and have that sent directly to you.

Modelling Portfolio Prices

Various options are available for those wishing to try their hand at some modelling portraits, or those wishing to have some images for a modelling portfolio.


New - £75 - A 2 hour shoot without make-up artist or stylist, in an outdoor location or your own home where a range of images will be taken including headshots, full length and three quarter length shots. All images will be placed on a CD/DVD and we will fully edit at a cost of £15 per image.


Pretty - £350 - A half day (4 hour) shoot with a Hair and Make-up Artist (you must bring your own clothing) where a suitable location will be found and a range of images will be taken as headshots, full length and three quarter length. All images will be placed on a CD/DVD and we will fully edit a maximum of 2 images per look for you.


Fun - £500 - A half day (4 hour) shoot with a Hair and Make-up Artist where a suitable location will be found and a range of images will be taken as headshots. In this shoot the make-up artist will spend as long as it takes to get some fun, wild, unusual and unique looks for you, this may include wild hair and hairpieces, unusual make-up colours and even using temporary glue t attach sweets or other small objects to your face and neck. All images will be placed on a CD/DVD and we will fully edit a maximum of 2 images per look for you.


Beautiful - £1000 - A full day (8/9 hour) shoot with a Hair and Make-up Artist (Wardrobe Stylists can also be provided for additional cost) where a suitable location will be found and a range of images will be taken as headshots, full length and three quarter length. In this shoot the make-up artist will spend as long as it takes to get whatever looks you require, from fun and wild to soft and sophosticated. All images will be placed on a CD/DVD and we will fully edit a maximum of 2 images per look for you. For this package we will also provide a maximum of 10 images printed to either 9"x12" or 11"x14" sizes as standard for agency portfolios.


**For modelling shoots a release must be signed by the model (or parent/guardian if under 18) which prevents the images being used for commercial purposes. The release specifically allows the Photographer and any Hair / make-up / Wardrobe stylists to use any and all images for portfolio use.
