More Amy Edits

Yet again the same lighting set up as last night with Sun from behind model, flashgun in open softbox camera right (no diffusion, just using the silver reflection in softbox to reflect sunlight as well as enhance flash) with FULL CTO gel on flash to give Amy a warm look.

Like the shot below (the re-edit from yesterdays post) it has a slightly different White Balance to give it a better look without making Amy look like she's got a really bad fake spray on tan.

I'm not sure if i prefer this one without the jacket to the shot below with the jacket, but it's nice to have different looking options to see.

I really do like the overall look though so will likely be using it again in the future when doing some shoots.

This one is a re-edit of the shot from my shoot with Amy, i felt with the white balance being fully Flash (5500) it meant Amy's skin was a bit too spray on tan looking.

This one is now at around 4300K which makes the sky pop a little more and although still gives Amy a nice glow doesn't mean she's quite as bad fake tan as the previous edit.

Some other shots from the shoot shown below, pretty much all the same lighting set up, being flash through a softbox from on camera left, just a little moving around of the flash closer to me or further away to get more light on Amy's face.

Amy Helps Out

I knew Alex was getting his new lens (Nikon 24-70) and wanted to try out some model shots, this also gave me the opportunity to try some mad cap things that have been bouncing around in my head for a wee while.

I've worked with Amy before and loved her look, she was a brunette before but still looks equally as stunning as a blonde.

We tried a few different looks and lighting techniques, i've got a few more still to edit but for the minute here's a couple to see.

This first shot was a very simple set up, with only a softbox just off to camera left, this gives a really nice soft even lighting and i'm really happy with it.

I did try using my famous lightbulb again but it was a major fail on this occasion, although i will continue to try.

I really like the look of this but i'm more than happy to hear peoples comments also, whether good or bad.

Still got a good few images to go through from this shoot so will get through them and get them loaded up as soon as i can, in the meantime i hope you like the images here.

Couple of Edits from yesterdays shoot with Amy :)

Amy's First Time

I was asked to help out the lovely Amy with some images, this was her first time doing any modelling, and she took to it like a duck to water.

We used the brickworks in Pumpherston, as the weather was pretty awful, and we did a mix of different shots.

These are the first ones i've managed to finalise the editing on and i'm really happy with them.

I'm also starting to use the new logo on them, branding them in the same way as my new website, which is coming soon. I'm currently moving away from the IFOTOU name and sticking to Tom Thomson Photographer as I feel it's much more professional. My model work is simply a hobby though so it will always go into my IFOTOU blog so no need to worry about it disappearing altogether.
